Falcons Pro Bowl DL Grady Jarrett visited the Atlanta United facility on Tuesday and spoke to the media on a variety of topics as the NFL draft looms. Jarrett spoke on his excitement for new defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen and his plan to have him play a variety of roles on the defensive line.
“We had the conversation and I know he’s going to have something good cooking up,” Jarrett said.
He added that he is viewing this as a brand new challenge for both he and the variety of players added to a revamped Falcons defense.
“Whatever is thrown my way I’ll always be ready," said Jarrett. "I’m excited to see how all the pieces fit and how we will use them. Just like you guys are all learning, I’ll be learning on the fly. I haven’t seen installs yet, but I’m excited for the challenge. Keep it fresh, you know what I’m saying?
"Going into Year 9, I’m loving the game now more than ever. Having these opportunities and challenges and keep reaching for that new threshold. Keep achieving greatness on the defensive side of the ball for Atlanta."
