The Falcons have shown they can succeed through the air or on the ground.

Winning in the NFL is one of the most difficult things in sports, but doing so with a young quarterback makes it that much harder. That is the situation the Atlanta Falcons find themselves in this season. Through two weeks, the young quarterback has shown he's leading an offense that can win with balance.

"As a guy who has made his fourth and fifth starts in this league, against two very good defenses, he has taken exactly what they have given him," Beau Morgan said. "He hasn't pushed the ball into harms way, and that's impressive to me because that is kind of a veteran mindset in a rookie's body."

To Beau's point, the Falcons have a quarterback who is smart with the football, and willing to hand the ball off if that's what the game flow dictates. In Week 2, the Falcons ran for a 218 yards -- in direct contrast to the offense we saw in Week 1.

Against the Buccaneers, despite the loss, the Falcons piled on 358 yards of offense with nearly all of it coming through the air.

Having a successful offense is all about winning the matchups, and the Falcons are showing us they can win either way.
