Coach Gray of Albany State joined On Point with Juandolyn Stokes to tell how his team prepared to earn bragging rights in this year’s match up between the Albany State Golden Rams and the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers.
Coach Gray of Albany State and Coach Wilshire of Morehouse College faced off at Metlife Stadium on Saturday, September 16.
This first HBCU NY Classic welcomed almost 40,000 fans and this year is expected to be even more. This classic match-up is known as the world’s largest HBCU Homecoming celebration.
Last year Morehouse suffered a beat-down in a game-ending score of 37-0.
“This should be a good contest” said Gray.
According to Gray, each team is excited to win for bragging rights and recruiting options. Plus, ”This is tremendous for HBCU’s,” he added.
Coach Quinn Gray and Albany State came back home to Georgia with the win!
