When Atlanta Falcons President of Football Matt Ryan and Falcons new General Manager Ian Cunningham were asked if quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will be the Falcons' starter yesterday at Cunningham’s introductory press conference some writers and Falcons fans tried to make it seem like Ryan’s answer was Ryan being noncommittal about Penix being the starter, but earlier today The Morning Shift explained why that’s a false narrative.
“What that answer was, it was backing up this structure that everyone wants to scream and cry about that they don’t understand.” Beau Morgan said
Beau finished his thought by saying that “This whole noncommittal thing is absolute horse crap”, that it's just people “creating a problem where there’s not one”, and that “Matt Ryan answered this question perfectly based on what they’ve said the structure is”.
Since he’s become the Falcons President of Football Matt has made it clear that he’s not going to do the Head Coach’s or the GM’s job, and his answer yesterday just proved that he’s staying true to what he’s said from the beginning, not that he’s being noncommittal about Michael Penix Jr.
