Should the Falcons play Kyle Pitts in the preseason?

Atlanta Falcons radio analyst Dave Archer joined Dukes & Bell to talk about should Arthur Smith play first round draft pick Kyle Pitts in the preseason or should the team save him for the regular season?

When asked if Kyle Pitts should play in the preseason.

“I think you’ll see him this week, I’d be surprised if they didn’t get the rookie some snaps this week,” Archer said. “People are being so careful, we see so many seasons sunk because you lose a couple of guys in preseason and now that guy’s not available maybe for the rest of the year or he’s not available to midseason, so I think teams are being very careful with that. And last year brought to light that you can play pretty good football and have a pretty good brand of football the first couple of week’s season with not playing any preseason games.”

“I want to see what the kid can do, I thought we got a little taste of it during the practice on Saturday two weeks ago when we had such a great crowd at Mercedes Benz stadium. I want to see him go against a different color helmet, I want to see what he can do, adjusting making some of those plays that’s gonna light us up. But you get worried though, you get worried, you don’t want to lose anybody but hey that can happen at any time.”
