Peter King of NBC Sports, Will Brinson of CBS Sports, and Audacy NFL insider and NFL Network Analyst Brian Baldinger all have predicted the Atlanta Falcons will win the NFC South this season.
Some of the national media is finally seeing and understanding what the Falcons are doing and giving the Dirty Birds the respect they deserve, and earlier today The Morning Shift gave their reactions to some of the national media’s predictions.
Mike Johnson says that Baldinger “brought up almost every argument that i’ve had that has been pro Falcons for the last like month or so that’s like look, you can say what you want to about what the Falcons are at the quarterback position and whether or not that experiment is going to work or it’s not going to work, but every other part of this team is on the upswing. I mean there’s no doubt about that.”
Beau agrees with what Brian had to say, but takes it one step further. “What I like about what Baldinger is saying, and what I like about this team is you’re taking a team that overachieved for two years with significantly less talent on the roster and now you’ve bulked the roster up talent wise, tell me they can’t win 11 games.” Morgan said.
Tiffany agrees with the overall narrative that up until this point the Falcons haven’t gotten much respect from the national media for a while. The Falcons did not get enough and do not get enough love nationally.” Blackmon said.

Of course the Falcons have to earn their respect because they have been mediocre, for a variety of different reasons, since 2017, but the refreshing thing is that the national media is starting to see the Falcons are a team on the rise, they have talent, and they will be a team that makes a lot of noise this season.
