On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers featured a career performance by tight end, Kyle Pitts, who completed the day with 166 receiving yards and three touchdowns and was later awarded the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

“Now, he’s put together 338 yards in the last three games. That’s the most in a three-game span in about three years since Georgia Kittle did it,” Atlanta Falcons Radio Network play-by-play announcer, Wes Durham, said on Thursday as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and shared thoughts on Pitts’ performance and why the Falcons may have a “big decision” to make in regard to the tight end

“Did you have to lose Drake London to see that,” Durham continued as he questioned if Pitts’ recent production is more of a direct result of London having been out with a knee injury since Week 11 or is the Falcons tight end finally emerging into the prospect he was projected to be.

“If so, what does that look like and how does it impact who else’s is making contributions on this team. So yes, I do think there is going to be some decisions to be made,” Durham said as he explained why he believes the potential long-awaited emergence of Pitts may force the Falcons to give second thought on retaining him as he is set to be a free agent should the Falcons opt not to franchise tag him.
