CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Firefighters and paramedics delivered a baby outside a firehouse in the River West area Tuesday morning.
The car pulled up to the firehouse, where Barbara Ohse is captain. She said an announcement came over the speaker: "Everyone to the apparatus floor. There's a baby coming."
A whole slew of people, including Firefighter/EMT Aidan Flahaven went into action, as the mother-to-be lay in the back seat.
He said he "went into dad mode, remembering when my wife was pregnant and going to the classes and learning how to talk to my wife and coach her."
"I give her all the credit because I've been there. I have three kids. It's not easy. But to do it in front of 16 people …"
