Bears' Mitchell Trubisky Day-To-Day With Hip Pointer

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is considered day-to-day after suffering a right hip pointer in the team's loss to the Rams on Sunday.

The Bears are still working through the status of Trubisky for practice Wednesday and during the rest of the week, coach Matt Nagy said. The injury occurred late in the second quarter Sunday. Trubisky was later removed from the game late in the fourth quarter.

Trubisky will remain the Bears' starter if healthy.

"We want him out there to be our starter and to be playing," Nagy said.

Should Trubisky be unable to play against the Giants this Sunday, the Bears would likely turn to backup quarterback Chase Daniel. The 33-year-old Daniel started the Bears' loss to the Raiders in London on Oct. 6 after Trubisky suffered an injury to his non-throwing shoulder the week prior.

The 25-year-old Trubisky has completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 1,580 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions. Daniel has completed 70.3 percent of his passes for 435 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. The 11-year veteran Daniel has started five games during his career.

The Bears (4-6) host the Giants (2-8) Sunday at noon at Soldier Field.
