Bears Will No Longer Hold Training Camp In Bourbonnais

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Chicago Bears are moving their summer training camp to Halas Hall in Lake Forest, ending their years-long tradition of preparing for upcoming seasons in Bourbonnais. 

The Bears made the announcement Tuesday afternoon, effective immediately, citing improvements made at the organization's North Shore headquarters. The team has practiced at Bourbonnais, near Kankakee, since 20002, and before that held training camps in Platteville, Wisconsin. The team last used Halas Hall for pre-season training in the early-1980s.

Beginning this year Bears training camp will be held at Halas Hall.Additional details regarding the 2020 training camp schedule & limited free public tickets will be available later this spring after our 2020 regular season schedule has been announced.

Bears officials said the public would still be welcome at practice sessions over the summer. Details were not immediately released.
