(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Evan Muellner says his family-owned business, Pie-Eyed Pizzeria, had been around for 16 years when the shelter-in-place-order took effect.
The Near West Side restaurant took a hit, and owners had to rethink some things during the pandemic.
"We know a lot of nurses, just everyday people who are going through trouble, just like everyone else,” Muellner said.
Asked how long they want to keep it going, he says: "We would do it pretty much as long as we could financially support it. We've obviously lost a lot of business, but we're staying afloat."
