Friends of one of the men who was shot to death during violent protests in Kenosha gathered at a skate park Thursday night, and said he died a hero.
Anthony Huber, 26, tried to stop Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, who was seen running down the street after the first victim, 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum, was shot in the head.
Huber smacked Rittenhouse in the head with his skateboard, and tired to disarm him, when he was shot in the chest. Huber died of that gunshot wound.
Gittings told CBS 2, Rittenhouse will pay for what he did.
"He will pay for what he f***ing did – coming out here wanting to play soldier and killing innocent people and ripping away the most promising future of 26-year-old man," Gittings said. "He will pay. He will pay."
After shooting Huber, Rittenhouse shot Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, in the arm, prosecutors said.
Rittenhouse is due for an extradition hearing in Lake County Court in Waukegan at 9 a.m. Friday.
