CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- With ice falling from downtown buildings, people on the sidewalk are not the only ones who might be in harm's way.
It was 8 a.m. at 444 North Michigan Avenue, on the 30th floor. There was a loud boom.
When the office manager went to see what happened, she found glass. The shards were in the hallway and in the office of Susan McDonald, who said the scene looks like the aftermath of a bombing.
McDonald normally would've been in her office. But she had rescheduled something and didn't go in.
"So, I'm now officially a true believer in guardian angels,” she said.
