CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health has announced 965 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease, including six additional confirmed deaths.
The new cases include two Cook County men in their 40s.
As of last night, 1,356 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19.

Of those, 320 patients were in the I-C-U and 132 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
The statewide positivity rate is 2.9 percent.
Illinois currently has 161,575 total COVID-19 cases with 7,295 total deaths. More than 2.24 million coronavirus tests have been administered across the state.
