
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Shedd Aquarium continues to urge restaurants and other businesses to sharply reduce the amount of disposable plastics they use because it’s a bigger problem for the Great Lakes than most people realize.Jaclyn Wegner, director of Conservation Action for the Shedd, says the aquarium is working with the hospitality industry to use fewer plastic straws and less plastic in general because it often ends up in the water -- and the fish.
