(670 The Score) After a rather uninspiring 20-13 win against the Lions on Sunday snapped their four-game losing streak, the Bears returned to Club Dub, the moniker for their exuberant postgame celebrations after victories that include loud music and strobe lights.
It was the first time the Bears had reason to celebrate since they beat the Vikings on Sept. 29. And even though they still own a losing record at 4-5 and were plagued by many of their usual troubles in the win, the Bears made no apologies for the postgame scene.
"We're sticking together," safety Eddie Jackson said on the McNeil & Parkins Show on Monday when asked what he'd say to Bears fans who are Club Dub critics. "We're going to do what we've been doing. We're going to enjoy it. We started Club Dub for a reason -- just to have that feeling of going in there and having something to look forward to when you win. The opinions don't matter. Like I said, we're sticking together.
"People fail to realize, they're stuck on the losing record thing, but we're not letting all that affect us. We're going to continue to do what we're doing."
The Bears' playoff hopes are really bleak, given that they trail the Packers (8-2) by 3.5 games in the NFC North race and the Vikings (7-3) by 2.5 games for the second wild-card spot in the competitive NFC race. With that as context, Jackson agreed that the Bears have adopted an "us against the world" mentality of sorts.
"It's us against the world," Jackson said. "I've been saying that. We're playing for one another. We're not playing for nobody else right now. We are just going to stick together and play for one another."
