CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Another major family attraction in the Chicago-area is reopening Thursday, after being closed for nearly four months due to COVID-19.
It's the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago in Schaumburg.
Spokesman John Sullwold said several safety precautions are in place, including requiring guests 2 years of age and older and all staff to wear masks.
He said capacity will be kept to under 50 percent, guests will only be allowed to visit for two hours, and they'll need to reserve their time online.
"We will advise them to purchase their admission online or even annual pass members will have to reserve their time online, so we can control capacity," Sullwold said.
Sullwold said visitors will get their own set of pre-sanitized LEGO blocks, and play areas will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after they are used.
In part, because of the restrictions, Sullwold said the admission fee will be cut by nearly $10 for at least the first few weeks.
