Local Musicians Help Mayor Lightfoot liven up her Instagram page

Each Sunday in May, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot will feature live performances by local musicians on Instagram.The artists this weekend include Luciano Antonio, Opal Staples and DJ Ayana Contreras.

The performances benefit the Arts for Illinois Relief Fund.

The Mayor’s office said the fund has now raised over $5 million from foundations and individuals and all donated funds go directly to artists and arts organizations through the grantmaking partners 3Arts and Arts Work Fund.
