CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A gem in Chicago - LesterLampert is a family-owned and operated jewelry business that dates back to 1920.

It's history started on Jewelers Row in Chicago by David Lampert who immigrated from Russia. Today the business, located at 7 E. Huron, is run by David Lampert's descendants Lester Lampert and his namesake David Lampert.

Lester Lampert was introduced to the jewelry business at the age of 6, learning from his grandfather the techniques of design and production. Today, Lampert runs his operation with his son David.

"I'm a fourth generation jeweler, we deal with third and fourth generation customers," said David Lampert.  "The relationship often starts with an engagement ring, then it becomes the wedding bands and then anniversary gifts."

Lester Lampert said they manufacture their collections, original designs and bring old pieces back to life at their gallery on Huron Street.

Along with cases of dazzling designs and unique gifts, the company also offers a Corporate Division providing services awards, retirement gifts, and sales incentive programs.
