CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Illinois State Police are investigating the death of a 53-year-old man whose body was found near a northbound Stevenson Expressway exit ramp this morning.
State Police said the man's body was found near a ramp to Ashland, under the Stevenson, at about 8:20 a.m.
Officers said a friend of the man went to a Chicago Fire station to get help when he saw that the man wasn't responding. Firefighters then went to the man and pronounced him dead at the scene.
State police are conducting an "open and ongoing" death investigation.
