CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Don't be mad -- we're just the messengers. But the National Weather Service Chicago is reporting that more showers and thunderstorms are on the way Saturday morning, and again in the late afternoon.
Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms are likely in the area -- particularly in the northern suburbs -- Saturday morning from about 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Then, showers and even a thunderstorm is likely after about 4 p.m. Rainfall totals of a quarter-inch to half-inch are possible.
Highs are expected to be near 76 degrees with winds west/southwest at 5 to 10 miles and hour. Chance of rain is 80 percent.
Saturday night will see cooler temperatures around 53 degrees. The chance of showers and thunderstorms at night is also 80 percent.
