CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- With Chicago City elections less than two weeks away, there's a new website to help progressive voters make better choices.

Beatriz Ponce de Leòn, director of Generation All, said her group and other progressive groups have banded together after Rahm Emanuel decided not to run for another term.

She said they surveyed their communities to determine the most important issues, and then asked the candidates to respond to them.

The Vote Equity Project surveyed several mayoral and aldermanic candidates and others based on the progressive agenda. Ponce de Leòn said the questions address issues of race and equity in matters such as education.

Ponce de Leon said some findings were a surprise. For, example a majority of all those suveyed favored shoring up neighborhood schools and making sure there's a nurse and a counselor in each one.
