CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A conservative watchdog group that’s been critical of Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s agenda is now praising him for his ethics proposals. The Illinois Policy Institute opposes Governor Pritzker’s graduated income tax plan and says the state is lagging in job creation under him. But, Adam Schuster, the group’s director of budget and tax research, said three of the Democrat’s ethics proposals are things the institute wants.

The group also supports mandatory recusal, which would require lawmakers to refrain from voting on measures that would benefit them.

Schuster is our At Issue guest and he will discuss budget, taxes, ethics and more on  9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
