(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Two volunteers from PAWS Chicago are on their way to the Gulf Coast to bring back dogs and cats affected by Hurricane Laura.
The van's destination is McComb, Mississippi, which did not bear the worst of the storm compared to towns southwest of there.
PAWS volunteers are taking supplies to the shelters down there that suffered wind damage and power outages.

Most are expected to be ready for adoption in the next couple of weeks.
