(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police are on the lookout for a suspect who allegedly tried to sexually assault a CTA passenger earlier this week.

Police say the victim was riding in a northbound Red Line train near the Morse Avenue stop around 10 a.m. when a man exposed his genitals. The woman changed rail cars, but the man pursued her, struck her several times and groped her and demanded she perform an “inappropriate act,” police said.

The suspect took the woman’s personal belongings and exited the train at Morse Avenue, police said.

Authorities released surveillance images of the man. Anyone with information is asked to contact CPD.
