JOLIET (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Illinois State Troopers will be hitching rides in semi-trucks in a partnership with the Illinois Trucking Association to catch potentially dangerous drivers on the expressways.

The troopers radio ahead to their counterparts in Illinois State Police vehicles, who pull over offenders.
“Troopers in Trucks” was first tested downstate, but is now coming to the Chicago-area.
