CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A body was found washed up on the North Side at Montrose Harbor Sunday, according to Chicago police.

Authorities were called about 12:25 p.m. to the 4500 block of North Simonds Drive where they found a man believed to be between the age of 40 and 50 washed up on the beach, according to preliminary information from Chicago police. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about his death.

Area North detectives are investigating.

This is the second body to wash up on the North Shore this weekend. Police said this incident isn't connected to the accidental drowning in Edgwater on Saturday that involved a man who authorities believed to be between the ages of 30 and 45.
