CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago man is facing multiple gun charges after a “road rage incident” that started on the North Side and continued into Evanston.

Adelle Spraags, 44, was charged with a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor aggravated assault with a firearm, Evanston police said.

At about 7:30 a.m. Feb. 20, officers were notified about a man driving a Jeep Cherokee north on Sheridan Road waving a gun out of the window, police said.

They stopped Spraags without incident in an alley in the 800 block of Foster Street, and searched his glove box after Spraags told them there was a handgun inside and after he signed a consent-to-search form, police said. They recovered a Glock 9mm and an extended magazine.

Though Spraags had a valid FOID card, he did not have a concealed-carry license, police said. He was released on bond and is due back in court March 30.
