CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man was hospitalized Friday evening after being punched in the face at Guaranteed Rate Field during the White Sox game.
The man, 24, got into an argument with a 29-year-old man at the ballpark at 35th and Shields, according to Chicago police, who say it started when the younger man pushed the other from behind.
The 29-year-old turned around and hit the 24-year-old, who fell and slammed his head on the concrete, police said.
He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center with a laceration on his head, and his condition was stabilized, police said.
Stadium security confronted the 29-year-old and held him until police arrived, police said. Charges were pending on Saturday.
The Sox went on to beat the Minnesota Twins 6-4.
