CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago's top cop is reacting to the video of the police officer shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown had this reaction to cell phone video, which appears to show Kenosha police officers shooting 29-year-old Jacob Blake in the back multiple times: "I have seen the video in Kenosha. It is god-awful to watch. It is."
But, he cautioned against drawing any conclusions before the results of a preliminary investigation.
Brown said this is an issue that affects everyone.
"One of the things that was emphasized by Martin Luther King is that 'a threat to justice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.' So what happens in Wisconsin, or any other city throughout our country, does affect all of us," he said.

Brown added the Chicago Police Department is preparing for any large-scale protests in the city.
"And we are obviously adjusting, based on the information coming from not only what happened in Wisconsin, but what happens here in Chicago," he said.
Video of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis back in May set off a wave of protests across the country, which at times devolved into violence and looting.
