CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There were tears and anger in Chinatown at a candlelight vigil Wednesday for two men shot and killed over the weekend.
The smell of incense was in the air. Candles glowed on the sidewalk at a memorial for the two men who were murdered in an apparent robbery attempt.
Darren Lin says he knew both men for 10 years. He said he can't understand why the man who is accused in the murders was free on probation for two robberies.
"In 2018 he was charged with another two robberies. Why do people like him still walk around outside? We don't understand."
Friends of the men passed around a box at the vigil. People put money inside it to help the families of the two men.
