CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Some of the half dozen vendors at the Riverwalk Community Marketplace say this first season got off to a slow start, but customers seem to have found them.
"It's been coming along. A lot of people are still learning that this is even here because the city didn't make an announcement," said Carmella Parker, a manager at Batter and Berries.
The brunch and lunch kiosk is one of seven businesses that set up on the Riverwalk, just west of Michigan Avenue.
Hiccups? It's taken the city awhile to get the site in shape and let people know about the restaurants, he said.
"Because of the hiccups that occurred, we've pretty much been guaranteed a spot for next year," Randle said.
