The Kane County Cougars minor league baseball team has run into trouble on their road trip.
The team's chartered bus was set on fire outside the ballpark in Winnipeg around two o'clock Thursday morning, completely destroying it.
Arson charges have been filed against a 15-year-old girl.
Curtis Haug, vice president and general manager of the Kane County Cougars, told WBBM, "It's just the craziest thing. How often do you hear of something like this? It's sort of inexplicable at this point it's still under investigation and who knows? It's hard to say what the background of the story is...just thankful that no one was hurt."
Haug said the Cougars' opponent, the Winnipeg Goldeyes, helped the Cougars charter another bus to Fargo for the next stop on their road trip.
"We got the win that day (Thursday, the day of the fire) we're now in Fargo (for a three game series) and we'll be home next week."
