CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 13-year-old boy has been hospitalized after he was shot multiple times in Chicago's Pocket Town neighborhood on the South Side, officials said.
Chicago police said it happened shortly before 2:30 p.m., when Chicago two people walked up to the teenager in an alley near 74th Street and Kenwood Avenue and started shooting.
The boy was struck three times and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition.
Authorities said the shooters fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
No offenders were in custody. Area One detectives are investigating.
