(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Service was suspended on parts of the Chicago Transit Authority Green Line after a minor derailment early Monday morning.

No one was injured but around 15 passengers did have to be rescued from the stalled train in Englewood.

According to the Chicago Transit Authority, the train was stopped near 63rd and Halsted streets around 2:40 a.m. It appears that one of the train's wheel sets came off the tracks.

This led to service being suspended south of 35th street. Green Line trains were only operating from Harlem and Lake to 35th-Bronzeville-IIT.

Late Monday morning, service was still suspended between Garfield and Ashland/63rd.

Shuttle buses were also available to provide connecting service in both directions.
