CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There are two more Chicago area based COVID-19 testing companies that are under investigation after new complaints.
Earlier this week, WBBM Newsradio reported that the FBI had raided the Rolling Meadows-based Center for COVID Control.
Now, it turns out the Illinois Department of Public Health is investigating two other companies: Northshore Clinical Laboratories and O'Hare Clinical Labs, after both businesses have been accused of messing up client's test results, among other issues.
The IDPH did not provide any additional details.
According to the Sun-Times, the Illinois Attorney General's Office said it has received more than 40 complaints about Northshore and over 30 complaints about O'Hare, with most of the complaints centered around people receiving delayed test results or none at all.
Maritza Godinez was a customer of Northshore Clinical Labs and told CBS 2, "if you can't, like, keep up with the demand, then don't let so many people in to do the tests."
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services are also investigating Northshore after receiving similar complaints.
According to Northshore's website, the COVID-19 testing company has clinics in Chicago and Glenview, as well as Arizona.
Northshore's website said it's "terminated all third-party operations of testing pop-up sites, while we focus on improving processing and PCR result times during this period of extraordinarily high demand. Northshore Clinical Labs continues to support schools, nursing homes, and other senior living providers, and operate its own clinics to help our community through these unprecedented times.
"If you tested with a third party operator who sent specimens to Northshore Clinical Labs and you have not received your results, please email us at Customerservice@northshoreclinical.com."
Meanwhile, O'Hare Clinical Labs has numerous locations in Chicago, as well as testing sites in 11 other states, including Florida, Kentucky and Michigan.
Officials in Kentucky said they have also received at least a dozen complaints regarding O'Hare Clinical Labs.
