Two people are charged with aggravated DUI causing death and reckless homicide following a fatal four-vehicle crash Sunday in Oak Lawn.

Steven Bradford, 39, is accused of speeding in a Dodge Charger about 1:50 a.m. while driving south on Cicero Avenue near 110th Street, when he struck the back of a Lincoln motor vehicle. The Lincoln was forced into northbound lanes, and it struck a Dodge Ram pick-up truck head-on, Oak Lawn police said.

A 66-year-old woman passenger in the Lincoln was killed and the car’s driver, the woman’s 30-year-old son, was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the Dodge Ram pick-up truck also was hospitalized, police said, but their condition was not released.

Joann McNary, 32, faces the same charges as Bradford. She was driving a Honda Accord alongside Bradford, when her vehicle left the roadway and hit a bench, then rolled over “numerous times” until it stopped in a parking lot at Cicero Avenue and 110th Street, police said.

McNary was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center with injuries not considered to be serious, police said.

Bradford and McNary are scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
