LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) --Lake County, Indiana Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a home invasion burglary that occurred Tuesday afternoon and they’re warning others.

It happened in the southern part of the county in the Lake Dalecarlia area, according to the sheriff's office.

A woman told police two men showed up at her door. They were posing as workers from the Northern Indiana Public Service Company.

They forced their way in, restrained the woman and ransacked the home. Police are not disclosing what was taken, if anything.

The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation. One of the men wore a yellow and orange reflective vest.

Both wore surgical masks. One of the suspects is described as a White male, stocky with a large stomach. The other is described as a Black male, slender with hair in short braids, the sheriff's office said.

Both are in late 20's or early 30's and about six feet or taller. They were driving a yellow rental van with a Penske logo.
