
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are looking for the man responsible for a shooting on the city’s Northwest Side early this morning that left three people dead and one in critical condition.
Police said they’re looking for one suspect who took off in a dark-colored SUV after the shooting. Commander Joseph Brennan said it started with a physical altercation inside a bar at Melrose and Central Streets around 2:30 a.m.
“That altercation spilled out onto the street, and at some point shots were fired, and four people were struck, three of which are deceased, and the other one is critical,” Brennan said.
Those who died are a 50-year-old man, a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman. The hospitalized victim is a 25-year-old woman.
The shooting took place outside of Vera Lounge.

Brennan said they recovered shell casings at the scene but no weapon. Police are interviewing witnesses and going over security camera video.
