
EAST CHICAGO, IND. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Three people were wounded after a shooting broke out at a car show in Indiana Sunday afternoon.
East Chicago Police responded to a fight involving two men just before 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Jeorse Park Beach in Indiana at the Stunna Beach Bash Custom Car Show and Sound Competition.
As officers were clearing the area, gunshots rang out at one of the show stages. Police said a man wearing all black fired several rounds into the crowd and then ran away.
Police chased the suspect to the parking lot where he was caught and taken into custody.
Authorities said three spectators at the event were shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation found that there were two shooters. A second suspect turned himself in and both weapons were recovered.
