CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - On Monday, WBBM reported of early-morning armed robberies that occurred at Seven-Eleven stores on the North Side. Wednesday morning, police said, it happened again.
This makes at least eight Seven-Eleven robberies this week, four on Monday and four early Wednesday morning.
The circumstances are similar in each. Two men with guns enter the stores and demand money from the registers. Sometimes, they actually take the registers. In most, there's a black SUV involved.
During one of the most recent robberies, a black Jeep SUV was taken from a witness, according to police, a customer at one of the stores.
The Jeep was later seen at another convenience store robbery.
The crimes occurred between about 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. The two in Rogers Park occurred four minutes apart. Nobody has been hurt. In one incident employees locked themselves in a back room.

900 block of West Monroe Street at about 1:10 a.m.
500 block of West Grenshaw Street at about 1:45 a.m.
2700 block of West Touhy Avenue at about 3:11 a.m.
6800 block of North Western Avenue at about 3:15 a.m.
