GARY, Ind. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 70-year-old man was found beaten to death Thursday at his home.
Authorities were called at about 11:35 a.m. to the 2500 block of West 13th Avenue in Gary, according to a coroner's report.
Ray Perry, of Gary, was later pronounced dead. An autopsy found he died from blunt force trauma, and his death was ruled a homicide, the coroner's office said.
Perry's body was found by a relative, the Northwest Indiana Times reported. Gary police, Gary firefighters and the Lake County Crime Lab responded to the scene.
