WAUCONDA (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Officials say an autopsy will be held today for a senior citizen found dead in Wauconda Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., Wauconda police and fire were called to the 300 block of Stillwater Court. A 9-1-1 call had reported a man was unconscious and bloody.
When first responders arrived, they found the 72-year-old man dead of apparent stab wounds. Police said the woman the man lives with called 9-1-1 and is being cooperative in the investigation.
Wauconda police said based on preliminary information there is no reason to believe that there’s a threat to the public right now.
