A man, charged with stalking and threatening a Chicago Police officer, will remain behind bars.
Prosecutors say 24-year-old James Norwood was arrested in late August after admitting to sending threatening texts to an auto mechanic over frustrations about work done on his car.
However, court documents show Norwood accused the two Chicago Police officers on scene of “arresting him for no reason.”
He was charged and placed on electronic monitoring, and earlier this month, is accused of getting the personal cell phone information of one of those officers…then calling him nearly 70 times.
Norwood is accused of using his own name, as well as racial slurs, and threatening the officer.
Phone records also confirmed that Norwood was behind the calls.
A judge has ordered him to remain in prison before another court date on Friday.
