CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are searching for 10 – 15 people who they believe vandalized multiple businesses in Andersonville over the weekend.

The group broke windows and — in at least one incident — threw a smoke grenade into one of the businesses, officials said. Some of the buildings were also defaced with spray paint.

At least two businesses were damaged along Clark Street, but several others were hit.

Police said it was just after 10 p.m. Saturday when a group of teens wearing dark ski masks moved through the area. Some businesses reacted by barricading themselves inside and closing shutters.

No arrests have been made.
