A splurge on outdoor holiday decorations and lighting could purge your cash and personal identity if the pop-up ad or shopping website is not legitimate. Fraudsters have filled the season with fake websites, counterfeit photos and false ads.
You make your payment, but you might not get a delivery. Or, if you do, the products are low-quality imitations or miniature versions of what you saw online.
Before you purchase, check out the company and the website. Don't be in a rush; it could cost you. Take your time and turn out the lights on scammers.
