(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The body of a missing Country Club Hills woman with dementia was discovered by police officers Saturday morning.
Yolanda Howell, 78, was last seen by her family on Oct. 8.
Community Activist Andrew Holmes said the search led investigators to an area of water on Forest Preserve property.
“Well, she was located near some water, in that area. It's still under investigation. They want to make sure that she wasn't hit by a car or anything,” Holmes said.
Search efforts earlier this week were focused on ponds located in a forest preserve near Vollmer Road.
