(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago’s Office of the Inspector General has issued findings that further criticize the way the Lightfoot Administration handled the botched raid on social worker Anjanette Young’s home in early 2019.

Much of what is in the IG’s quarterly reports generally tracks with that of the Jones Day law firm that Mayor Lightfoot herself asked to investigate.

Anjanette Young was seen on police body camera video handcuffed and naked while police mistakenly searched her home over her protests.

Jones Day and the IG said city officials failed to follow proper procedures and didn’t communicate properly about what happened.

The IG report says administration officials made what “a troubling series of unfounded statements” about the raid in the highly publicized aftermath. But the report does not recommend any disciplinary action.

Young, a social worker, accepted a nearly $3 million settlement to drop her lawsuit against the city.
