2 charged after brawl breaks out at SW suburban high school football game: Police

OAK LAWN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two juveniles have been charged in connection to a high school football game in Oak Lawn Friday night.

Oak Lawn school district officials said several Oak Lawn Community High School cheerleaders were attacked when the fight broke out during halftime at a Richards High School football game.

Oak Lawn Police and other law enforcement intervened, according to school officials, and several parents and students were removed from the game..

No weapons were involved, and there were no major injuries.

Police told WBBM two kids were taken into custody and charged with battery.

School officials said the person who initiated the fight was not an Oak Lawn Community High School student.
