
WAUKEGAN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two brothers are now charged with first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing their mother’s boyfriend to death at a Waukegan restaurant where they all worked.
This occurred Saturday night at 41 14 Forty One Fourteen Steaks & Seafood on Green Bay Road.
The 51-year-old owner, Joshua Kirkwood, was stabbed multiple times and later died.
According to police, the mother of the two now charged with first-degree murder was in an argument with Kirkwood, and her sons, 21 and 16, intervened.
All four were then involved in a fight.
Jordan Roque, 16, is alleged to have been armed with a large kitchen knife. He’s charged as an adult.
His brother is identified as 21-year-old Iziah Gonzalez. He and his mother were also treated for knife wounds.
She has not been charged.
Police reported finding part of the restaurant’s video security system in her car.
